At RM Irvine Golf we firmly believe that we must create a positive environment to nurture and support the next generation of golfers.
To help achieve this we have radically overhauled how we attract juniors to the game of golf, how we teach them and how we continue to keep them engaged, so they will grow up playing golf and hopefully continuing to play into their adulthood.
One very important element of this process is to make the game of golf fun. Making the Junior Golf Coaching Programme fun will keep the kids engaged and when kids are engaged they learn. Once they learn they get better and the better they become, the more they enjoy and want to play more. It is a very simple, yet effective process.
We are proud to be partnering with Golphin for kids to deliver their Pathway to Golf Programme.

How do we coach our Junior Golfers?
Well the emphasis is taken off the technical element of the game. Our belief is that they will have plenty of time to immerse themselves in this aspect of the game.
We want to encourage fun sessions and also sessions where they can take part with others and experience that shared sense of enjoyment when undertaking chipping and putting challenges.
We want to focus on building good foundations, that will stand them in good stead for years to come, that means helping them understand the basics of their swings, how they move, how they control their arms, shoulders and hips and to help them understand how it all comes together.
All these elements take time and some will learn faster than others, so it is important to try and let them all learn at their own pace, after all adults do, so why shouldn’t the kids.
